Infrared Thermography
Thermal imagery is an emerging science whose practical applications range from simple photography to mechanical diagnostics, and it is used extensively by firefighters and the military. In short, infrared cameras use algorithms to find differences in heat signatures from the items being photographed, regardless of the presence of ambient light.
In preventive maintenance, infrared thermography can pinpoint areas that are significantly warmer than their surroundings. Overheating joints, faulty equipment insulation, and pending electrical shorts or faults are all invisible to the naked eye but easily detected with this method.
Advantage Reliability Services, Inc. has the equipment, the training, and the experience to utilize this technology, helping keep unpleasant surprises out of your facility.
